Day 77 The Homecoming Queen

We had quite the send off with tons of well wishes... Adelina weighed 4lbs 4oz at discharge and is a little more than 17 inches long. We took some detour to get here, but Adelina fought hard for this day.

Here are the pics (drums)!

Adelina getting ready to get her picture taken... the glued on bow was the work of the hospital photographer. You can check them out (the first one is hilarious) online at http://www.growingfamily.com/webnursery/babypage_view.asp?URLID=5I4D9I9I2C

Addy posing (she's famous right?) with:

Doc Cleary (he was in the O.R. at the delivery) sneaking in his goodbye to Addy. Docs Snyder, Moom and Shrager were not in the house at the time. We got Doc Chang on video later.

Nurse Nadji (did I spell that one right?) saying bye bye. She took good care of Adelina during her stay.

Nurse Ann Marie! Ann Marie was Sofia's admitting nurse and also was Adelina's angel while she was stationed at Abington.

Nurse Patty also watched over our little lady. Adelina made a lot of messes for poor Patty.

Nurse Bea giving love to Addy before her send off... Bea is a special to us as she was with us as our sweet Sofia and Vincent passed away.

Also a special thanks to Grace, Dana, Cindy, Jenny, Kylie, Ann Marie (the other one!) for going the extra mile for Adelina to make her comfortable. And thanks to all the others we grew to know!

This was the scariest part about leaving... Adelina was disconnected to the monitor... no more bongs, bleeps and numbers. Just the Philips logo and a black screen.

Nurse Pat escorting our princess OUT THE DOOR! I remember feeling so strange when I took my first step outside after my month in the hospital without ever leaving my room... Addy took her first breath of fresh air and so did we.

She looks so cute with her glued on bow in her hair! We never even thought to let the hospital take pics of Nate before we left! lol.
