Adelina has been at room air w/ barely any pressure through her cannula, so this afternoon she was free... again. As of a 8pm check-in with nurse Lisa, only one desaturation (blood is not oxygenating her entire body well), but she had recovered from it on her own.
Her feeding tube was temporarily removed to give her nose a break along with the cannula - we were there for the unveiling of little Addy's face w/o tubes all over it.She is now 3lbs 3oz and no longer in her birthday suit - she's swaddled in her isollette and maintaining her temperature very well on her own. I'll be washing all of Gianna's preemie clothes to bring in tomorrow :)
We're hoping that this is her last day on the cannula - she wasn't really using it, so it's been a bit of a security blanket for her. She had three 'episodes' yesterday on the cannula and only one for the day without it.
Addy is starting to look like a (miniture) baby now! Adelina has graduated to preemie sized diapers and is ready for preemie clothes! I had to buy "micro-preemie" clothes for her before. Go Adelina!!! We are amazed at how she is growing - it's like a window into a pregnant belly.
